Users who purchase electric heating strips hope to choose products with high cost-effectiveness, hoping to use them for a long time and reduce the frequency of replacement as much as possible. However, a certain proportion of electric heating strips are damaged due to aging due to long operation time, or due to design, installation defects, and construction operations in the early stage. Moreover, it is normal to batch update electric heating strips that have exceeded their service life.
The electric heating strip adopts a three-layer co extrusion technology, which is characterized in that two metal wires are sequentially coated with a low resistance transition layer, a conductive layer, an insulation inner layer, a metal shielding mesh, and an insulation outer layer. The low resistance transition layer, conductive layer, and insulation inner layer are formed by three-layer co extrusion in one go. The application of three-layer co extrusion technology makes the heating band structure stable, with low starting current, tightly wrapped without gaps and impurities, edge performance, extended service life, anti aging, convenient and safe, and extended service life.

1. Installation precautions: Check if there is cross winding or excessive spacing between the electric heating strips (for constant power electric heating strips), which may cause overheating at the stacking area and affect the service life of the electric heating strips. To avoid this issue, the winding spacing and method should be accurately calculated during design, and the most suitable installation model of the electric tracing tape should be selected;
2. Post maintenance personnel should record installation diagrams and relevant test data, and archive them for future maintenance purposes;
3. Attention should be paid to the safety and waterproofing of the entire electric heating system. After the installation of the electric heating strip, a waterproof external insulation layer should be made to ensure that the electric heating strip works in a dry environment;
4. Regular maintenance should be carried out on the electric heating strip, and key inspections should be carried out on areas that are prone to damage. The elbow is generally a place where it is relatively easy to damage the electric heating strip, and testing can start from here. In addition, there are other parts that are more prone to damage to the electric heating strip: the discharge point of the tank body, the joint between the upper and lower tank bodies, the liquid level gauge, flanges, valves, and the inlet and outlet parts of the instrument box. These are all areas that need attention and can be used as detection points.
